AT&T and Verizon, at eachothers’ throats

I turned on the TV this evening only to watch a barrage of AT&T and Verizon commercials bringing out the heavy hitters. There’s Verizon’s “Island of Misfit Toys” and AT&T’s “Marbles” for starters.  What is it exactly that I missed? It’s hasn’t been since the 2004 election that I’ve seen two parties slinging so much mud! While I believe you must respond to your competitors advertising, I disagree that you much stoop to the same level with your blows! While I don’t have the %share information, I couldn’t imagine that Verizon’s commercials would be very successful, but the must have been for AT&T to come back with the big guns.
