opinions please…

I can’t decide if this is awesome or incredibly dangerous, but either way its an confounding concept. I am often stuck behind large trucks as I drive down the freeway, yearning for an open horizon (and no speed limits) so I can appreciate the idea of being able to see just what is beyond that big rig lumbering along at 55 in front of me. I would just hate to daze off and forget the open road ahead was really just an image on the back of a truck after flooring the accelerator. Like any new technology, we come to rely on it which means that this would have to be completely sound.

In many situations this would be quite valuable but, just like any modern technology, it will get abused, and may be very distracting to other drivers. Wouldn’t you get distracted by kids in the SUV in front of the truck sticking out their tongues, or the innovative company who decides moving video ads are a good way to increase revenue? Or maybe even the crazy college student mooning the camera soley because he knows that you, the poor guy stuck behind the tractor-trailer, will get a front-row screening of his behind?

Don’t get my wrong, the idea has its merits but, as currently described, is just too vague to judge viability. I wait eagerly to see what the next steps are for Lebedev’s Transparentius.
